The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has invited online applications for the engagement of Trainees on a contractual basis under the Department of Environment, Government of NCT of Delhi. According to the official notification, a total of 150 tentative vacancies have been announced for Technical and Scientific Trainee posts.

The DPCC Trainee Recruitment 2026 notification is aimed at fresh Engineering and Science graduates who completed their qualifying degrees in 2023 or later. Candidates possessing valid GATE or NET scores from 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 will receive preference during the merit preparation process.

Educational Qualification for DPCC Trainee Posts

DPCC has divided the trainee positions into two categories, Technical Trainee and Scientific Trainee. Both categories require different academic qualifications.

For Technical Trainee posts, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS, Hydrology, or equivalent qualifications.

For Scientific Trainee posts, candidates should hold a Master’s Degree in Science (M.Sc.) in subjects including Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Science, Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, or equivalent disciplines. The degree must be obtained in regular full-time mode from a recognised university or institution.

DPCC Trainee Stipend and Engagement Period

Selected trainees will receive a progressive monthly stipend during the engagement period. The stipend structure mentioned in the notification is as follows:

Initially, trainees will be engaged for six months. Based on satisfactory performance, the engagement may be extended in further spells of six months each for a maximum duration of three years.

Candidates must submit their applications online through the official DPCC website. The notification clearly states that applications submitted in physical mode or through any other method will not be accepted.

Applicants should keep the following documents ready while filling out the online application form:
