Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) is a prominent public technical university located in Rourkela, Odisha. Established in 2002 by an act of the Odisha government, the university was created to bring uniformity and quality standards in technical education across the state.

Establishment and Campus
BPUT came into existence in November 2002, with the objective of ensuring a standardized curriculum and evaluation system across technical institutions in Odisha.
